Sale United U11 Tigers beat Wilmslow Town Cougars 11-4
in Sunday’s cup final to become
Champions of the Division 1 Bundesliga Cup
This win continue their fine form for two seasons running now, having been promoted to Division 1 following last seasons success in Division 2.
Having not beaten Wilmslow Town before and finishing runners up to them in the group stage, the Tigers went in to the game as rank outsiders but with a real desire and motivation to do well. Not only did they achieve their objective, they did so with a fine performance and an excellent scoreline of 11-4 in their favour.
A big well done to all the boys in the Tigers and Darren Brennan and his coaching team.
Match Report
The Tigers had quickly gone 2-0 up in the first period but were quickly pegged back to 2-2 and the momentum swung back to become a very nervy affair.
However this did not last long and the Tigers responded emphatically going 3-2 up thanks to the goal of the game by Sam Jordan opening the gates for 2 more goals in the half.
Going in at half time 5-2 up and the confidence flowing, the Tigers really kicked on into the 2nd half, with another 6 goals from a number of players and thankfully they never looked back.
A great result, a great win and a very happy bunch of Tigers!
