May 2005 - Sale United on the Cup Trail
This
weekend sees the start of Sale United's bid for further
silverware as the culmination of another good season for
many of our boys squads.
PLEASE
TRY TO GIVE THESE BOYS AND THEIR MANAGERS THE SUPPORT THEY
DESERVE FOR THEIR HARD WORK OVER THE SEASON
Our Under 11s have
already put silverware on the shelf when they beat Unicorn
Athletic 3 - 1 in their Final on 10th April.
1) UNDER NINES
'LIONS' SQUAD:
Our Under 9s are only
one step away from a Final as they take on AFC Urmston Meadowside
in their SEMI-FINAL to be played AT CROSSFORD BRIDGE THIS
COMING SATURDAY at 10.00am.
2) UNDER SEVENTEENS
After a tough Cup run
which included beating their League Champions Beechfield
United in a nail biting Semi-Final, our U17s face Unicorn
Athletic at Trafford Football Club, Pennbridge Lane, Flixton
(Behind the Bird in Hand Pub) K.O. 2pm. SUNDAY 8th.
- Let's hope our U17s can repeat the success of our Under
11s v Unicorn
3) UNDER TENS 'A' SQUAD
Following our disappointment
last Saturday of missing out on a League title, this squad
will undoubtedly raise their game again in their FINAL versus
Broadheath Central Hawks at Trafford Football Club on SUNDAY
15th MAY. k.o. 11.15am. A chance to put a smile back on
the faces of this squad who have had a really good season,
overcoming the disruption of losing players over the season
to the local Professional Academies
4) UNDER FIFTEENS 'A' SQUAD
After a stuttering
start, this squad have really put some form together in
the latter part of the season. This has earned them the
reward of a CUP FINAL tie against Fletcher Moss Rangers
at Flixton Football Club, Valey Road, Flixton on SUNDAY
15th MAY. k.o. 2pm.
EVEN IF YOUR CHILD
IS NOT REPRESENTING THE CLUB IN A FINAL ON THIS OCCASION,
YOU ARE STILL PART OF THE CLUB AND YOUR SUPPORT TO THE BOYS
WHO HAVE MADE IT WOULD BE VERY MUCH APPRECIATED. WE ARE
ALL PART OF THE SAME CLUB.
From previous experience
we know that our opposition teams will be well supported.
...BANNERS.....BALLOONS etc. Please ensure our lads receive
even better vocal encouragement from the terraces. They've
done their bit to get there, it is now up to the rest of
us to give them the support to go on and win the trophies.
Let's see some Sale United banners, please.
Thank
you in anticipation of this support........
