Sale United to Host Girls Under 14 League

Sale United will play host to the Under 14 Division of the South Manchester Girls League for the 2004-2005 season. The league, which is normally based at Barton Clough, has expanded rapidly since its initial trial league which started in November last year and cannot now accommodate the 30+ teams playing at one venue.

Sale United will develop its strong links with girls football by hosting the league on Saturday afternoons with kick-off time of 12.30.

Eight teams will be playing in the league, including Sale United's own U14's, the nucleus of which is the area's first girls only team that started to play football against boys in the Under 10 divison of the Timperly & District league in the 2001-2002 season.
